About Us

Undergoing an invasive procedure such as surgery can often be confusing and associated with anxiety. Listening to patients and educating patients are important parts of reducing this stress. At Head & Neck Surgical Cancer Specialists of SW Florida, our staff helps patients understand their surgical options and what will happen to them before, during and after surgery. Scheduling of your surgery is done as promptly as your medical condition requires.

Our friendly staff responds to patients' questions and concerns quickly and professionally. In addition, we communicate with other physicians involved in your care to provides better continuity of care. We are respectful of patient's needs and of family concerns.

Anthony Anfuso, MD, FACS

Surgical Oncology - Ear, Nose and Throat

Dr. Anfuso received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his Otolaryngology residency at West Virginia University. He completed his fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction.  Dr. Anfuso specializes in the surgical management of malignant and benign tumors of the mouth, throat, larynx, neck, salivary glands, thyroid, parathyroid, and skin.  He also performs reconstructive surgery of complex defects of the head and neck, including microvascular reconstructive surgery.

Mark Monzone, PA-C

Mark Monzone PA-C , is our Physician Assistant who provides care in the office, hospital, and operating room to our patients. He graduated in 2013 from Nova Southeastern University with a  Masters in Physician Assistant. His training has provided him the ability to see patients independently and assist the physician during surgery. He is up to date on his certifications, including Basic Life Support. 

Loris Pagan, Office Manager and Clinical Care Coordinator

Loris Pagan joined Head and Neck Surgical Cancer Specialists of SW Florida as the Clinical Office Manager in 2015. Before working her way up to a management position, Loris worked in operating rooms performing hair transplants and seeing patients in the clinic. With her caring and loving attitude towards the patients, she feels they become like family. Regardless of the circumstances, she makes sure patients know she is by their side throughout the entire process. Loris considers herself hands-on and always goes above and beyond to provide exceptional patient care. She will assist you with scheduling necessary tests/procedures/surgeries, and coordinating referrals to other physicians or rehabilitative services.
